When selling on ebay, I ask that I be paid within 3 days of auction end. On Monday, I sold three dolls to two buyers. I sent invoices as soon as the auction closed. Three days later...nada...nothing.
So I sent "friendly reminders". One person told me they are waiting for a transfer of funds to their paypal account and will pay on Monday and apologized for the delay. Okey dokey. No problemo.
Second person (has only 26 total feedback all positive) who purchased two dolls, still has not responded. Tomorrow will be one week since dolls were won, so today I sent a second "friendly reminder" email restating my preferred payment time, that it has passed, and that if there are any issues, delays, change of mind, etc. To let me know and we can work things out.
Am I being too impatient? Is it so hard to communicate with the seller about payment delays etc.? I'm pretty flexible as long as you keep the lines of communication open. But not responding really pisses me off and makes me anxious. I spent money to list on ebay, so I'd like to get paid in a timely manner.
If payment is not received by end of Monday, then I have to pursue a unpaid item dispute on ebay, which is really a fucking joke. I am willing to swallow the insertion fees etc and relist the dolls if she changed her mind, but for freakin' sake just mature up and tell me so I can move on. How hard is it to be honest? You'd be surprised how well people take honesty.
Is it too much to ask to be paid in a timely manner? Perhaps I'm being too impatient. What do you consider a reasonable time to receive payment from someone?
